Monk & Mira (We call them "The M & M's") are 2 adorable & very sweet Rescued Senior Italian Greyhounds who are looking to share their quiet life and lots of love with caring humans.   These two really are the sweetest dogs ever!!  They have been together all of their lives and are the sweetest "old couple" you have ever seen.  They love to cuddle up in their doggy-bed and just hug each other while they sleep.  They also both really love the lap and affection of their humans.  Monk gets attached very easily and will follow you around and come sit by you to keep you company sometimes.   They are well house-trained but they do need to be given the opportunity to go out and relieve themselves a bit more often than larger or younger dogs.

Both Monk and Mira are healthy and have been fully vetted and are currently in Anchorage Alaska under the care of the national non-profit "IGCA Rescue".

Monk and Mira each received a beautiful Hawaiian Collar

I am very excited to have my "Tree of Shame" painting included in the

 "Puppies Are Biodegradable Exhibit"

"The best kind of art is significant art and that is what the FUEL Collection is offering this July."
–Filmbill Magazine, July 2007

at the F.U.E.L.  Collection Gallery

"Tree of Shame"

little tree of suffering, growing in shame
with weak & crooked hands
I hope this branch will hold, please, hold me
I pray to feel sun on my transparent body

those alive before me
unloved shapes lie beneath fallen leaves
buried little souls
fill the earth with our broken bones

I am frightened but no one comes
so I hide, in a fruitless tree
with my face to the sky
and wait for the wind to dry my eyes…………

"The Puppymill"

I woke up from a dream
The wind was blowing
I am falling

now I wait in a cage
and years pass me by
no love to keep me safe

if I could only fly away from here
to gentle arms and voice
I'd be your forever friend & love
but I don't have that choice

someday I'll lay down my bones here and
hope then you'll hear my voice....

Miss Spinner

We recently adopted the sweetest little Iggy butterfly - "Miss Spinner".   Spinner was turned into Rescue in Kansas and with the help of Pawd'ners Rescue Ranch & Hospice & some VERY nice IGCA volunteers we were able to bring her to Alaska to live here with us.

Spinner doesn't have any teeth at all so she likes to show off her tongue which doesn't seem to want to stay inside her mouth.  She is in VERY good health and we are so happy to have found her and to be her Forever Home!!   She is the sweetest, most loving & gentle little soul!
